Pehchaan 3D nominated for three Leo Awards

Canada based first time filmmaker Manny Parmar's Pehchaan 3D has been nominated for three Leo Awards. The first Punjabi 3D film, Pehchaan 3D has been nominated for Best Director, Best Motion Picture and Best Actor.
Pehchaan 3D is the first Punjabi film to be nominated for the prestigious Canadian provincial awards.

About the Leo Awards
Leo Awards are given for the British Columbia film and television industry and are held each year in May/June in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The industry is also known as Hollywood North.

Pehchaan 3D directed by Manny Parmar starred Steve Dhillon, Jaspal Randhawa and Mandeepak Patrola in key roles. The movie is about the life of a college student who faces a dilemma in his life when he has been put in a witness protection cell.

Punjabi Cinema is seeing a new high in Canada over the past few years with big budget Punjabi films being shot there. Some of the Indo-Canadian Punjabi films are Mirza - The Untold Story, Jatt and Juliet, Sadi Wakhri Hai Shaan and the upcoming films Jatt and Juliet 2 and Best Of Luck. In terms of business, films like Jatt and Juliet and Carry On Jatta have done a business of $1 Million in Canada alone.
